Severe Texas Storm Leaves Streets Flooded With 2 Residents Dead!

Extreme flooding and intense rain has taken over the area of south #Texas. As the ongoing storm migrates within region it forcefully leaves families, vehicles and homes stranded or destroyed.

According to the #HoustonChronicle ; two people have been pronounced dead as of right now. An unnamed man was electrocuted to death while attempting to save his horse and another man was pulled from a submerging vehicle tweets Sherif Edd Gonzalez. Roadways have been blocked with the falling of trees, hundreds of calls for power outages, high water rescues have gone into play and even hospital evacuation instances.


Sources have indicated that the storm has caught Texas residents by surprise. Stating that they didn’t anticipate the intensified rain, flooding or destruction.

"This happened very quickly," he said. "But it's just demonstrating that in this day and time, climate change is real. And we no longer have to be concerned just with a hurricane,” states Mayor Sylvester Turner. '“We have to be concerned with almost any sort of weather system that can quickly evolve into a major storm and produce a great deal of rain,.”

Reports read, that heavy rains has already hit Galveston County, and has covered the island with over 15 inches of rain since Thursday and Scholes Field since Imelda made landfall, according to the National Weather Service. It has been stated that there is a strong possibility that another storm will hit sometime tonight or early morning. The storms are so severe that its flooding is being described as worst than the 2017, category 4 Hurricane Harvey .
