Parents Demand Answers After Video Release Of Their Newborn Premature Daughter Is Shown Being Dropped On Her Head!
Arizona parents are in need of immediate answers; after the release of an extremely graphic video shows their newborn daughter being dropped on her head by a hospital employee.
According to #BET Derrick and Monique Rodgers twin daughters Morgan and Madison were born prematurely on Valentine’s Day of this year. The birth of the girls took place at Chandler Regional Medical Center in #Arizona. Sources have indicated that the parents were excitement of their daughter’s birth was abruptly interrupted after it was time to clean the girls up. Derrick recorded the entire ordeal that turned the parents happiness into complete outrage.
The video show’s Morgan, who is stated to have weighted only three pounds and four ounces being dropped by a doctor and fell on to the top of a table. “I kind of promised myself that I would never watch that video again,” states Monique to local news. “I feel like she was treated like a sack of potatoes.” Due to the lack of empathy and apologies issued to the couple; Derrick uploaded the video to his #Facebook account on May. 1st. Sources have indicated that disturbing footage had received over 100,000 views in less than 24hrs after being released.
“It made me so mad. Like, I had to stop recording, states Derrick.
“I told him, ‘You dropped my baby,’” Derrick states confronting the Doctor “He had like a nonchalant look on his face. Then I showed him the video, and he had nothing to say after that.”
A week later; ultrasound results revealed Morgan had “a grade one germinal matrix small bleed” also known as a small brain hemorrhage. It has been indicated that the parents weren’t made aware of the ultrasound results until 6 weeks later. The couple has also come forward to state that though Morgan is a happy baby she still experiences random shaking spells. They demand answers as to what the direct cause of this issue is.
“I would like to know if this was due to her having a low birth weight or if it was due to her being dropped on her head,” states Monique. The parents want the hospital to understand the severity of the situation and take accountability for their mistake. “You know, an apology when it happened could’ve gone a long way,”
