Teen Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison For Fatal Stabbing!

In the case of the brutal Bronx classroom stabbing incident from 2017, Abel Cedeno, 19 has been sentenced to 14 years behind bars.

According to #WPIX11 Cedeno was charged on Tuesday for manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a deadly weapon. Sources have indicated that Cedeno was found guilty on all counts for the fatal stabbing of his classmate Matthew Mcree, 15.

Almost 2 years ago on Sept 27th Cedeno stabbed Mcree and his friend Ariane Laboy within a classroom of Urban Assembly high school. Reports read that Cedeno’s defense team argued that he was a long time victim of bullying due to his sexuality and that he acted solely within self defense.

Official documents read that while the students were exiting their history class, Cedeno was in the door way when an object was thrown at him. He then asked who threw the object and Mcree sitting alongside Laboy responded that he had thrown it but it wasn’t meant to hit him. Cedeno became infused with anger and began to fight McCree. He stabbed McCree directly in the heart and his good friend Laboy five times as he attempted to help his friend. McCree and Laboy were both unarmed. Laboy’s injuries were described as severe and life threatening, he was in a coma for several days.

It has been indicated that Laboy was detained outside the court room after him and Cedeno exchanged words during his sentencing. City councilman Ruben Diaz Jr has argued that Cedeno is a victim too. He has stated that the school’s faculty’s lack of urgency for a student’s cry for help caused this incident.
