Lebron James “I Promise” Public School Attains Highest Academic Performance In It’s District!

The young scholars of NBA all star #LebronJames I Promise School have showed and proved in a little less than a year that when it comes down to education they really mean business! Once categorized as the worst performing students in the district upon academics and overall behavior.


According to the #NewYorkTimes; the district assessment scores for third and fourth graders are in early and the students of I Promise public school reflect some pretty exciting news. Sources have indicated that students have accelerated within individual growth; successfully obtaining a ninety percent turn around within academic performance upon literature and mathematics. These tiny tots have made such an impactful difference within overall performance that they’ve outperformed their peers within their district.


It has been stated that speculation occurred upon James announcement of opening a grade school. Fear of neglect were deemed as recognizable issues due to James celebrity status. What the public doesn’t know is that I Promise offers services to both students and parents. The students are celebrated each day that they enter the building solely upon attendance. The school offers a resource department designed for parents with GED programs, work, health and legal advice. I Promise has a $2 million budget forwarded by the district and $600,000 in financial support forwarded by Lebron which assists with additional after school program funding. “These kids are doing an unbelievable job, better than we all expected,” Mr. James said in a telephone interview hours before a game in Los Angeles for the Lakers. “When we first started, people knew I was opening a school for kids. Now people are going to really understand the lack of education they had before they came to our school. People are going to finally understand what goes on behind our doors.”
