Bronx Street Renamed To Honor Life Of Slain Teen Junior Guzman Feliz!
We’re shortly approaching the anniversary of the #Bronx teen #LesandroGuzmanFelizJr also known as “ Justice for Junior” horrific death . We all watched in horror as the distraught fought for his life within his final moments with no assistance, as a total of 14 gang members attacked him. Junior’s death effected millions, forcing society to come together in time of need.
According to #Pix11 , the street upon which Junior endured the brutal slashing will now be renamed in honor of his life. Sources state council member Ritchie Torres was joined by Junior’s family and members of the New York Police Department Explorers Program as the renaming ceremony took place. The former street of East 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue will now be named “ Junior Guzman Feliz-Way.” “This street will forever be the home, will forever tell the story of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz,” states Torres.
Since Junior’s death a new law has even been created to establish a safe haven for youth in time of danger incorporated with small businesses referred to as “ Juniors Law.”
